Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting for a part-time Adult English Teacher to join the Adult & Community team working across multiple sites. You’ll manage a high-quality teaching and learning experience for our adult learners.

The Opportunity

Join our Adult & Community team as a part-time English Teacher, delivering diverse English programmes with a focus on Functional Skills qualifications. Your flexible schedule will span 2-3 days from Monday to Thursday, including at least one or two evening sessions per week due to high demand. Classes are held both on campus and in community settings, catering to the varied needs of our learners.

About You

You’ll be an innovative, dedicated professional with outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment skills for adult learners. You’ll have at least a Level 3 qualification in English, with a relevant degree being desirable, and a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd). Excellent administration and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to effective teamwork, are essential for this role.
