We are currently hiring aWeld Assistant Managerto join our production team in New Castle, IN.

Reports To: Production Manager

Direct reports: Production Associates (Coordinators and below)

Qualifications: Good understanding of all aspects of a J.I.T. seat manufacturing operation. Good written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Previous automotive industry and supervision experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and control manpower and overall quality within department to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement plans for safety, quality and productivity improvements.
  • Investigate feasibility of new equipment and techniques.
  • Prepare cost estimates for changes in manufacturing methods.
  • Participate in development of new or improved products, including process flow.
  • May prepare manufacturing instructions as new products are approved for production.
  • Maintain production and product quality and quantity within established budget.
  • Support development of 5S, TPM and Kaizen programs.
  • To be able to control and manage the production plan.
  • To be able to arrange production labor within each section.
  • To be able to control work hours and conditions of the labor.
  • Ensure safe operations.
  • Have the ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.
  • Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
  • Administer performance reviews.
  • Will attend Management Review/ISO meetings.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the China Compulsory certification (CCC) system.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Requires the ability to use and apply extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.
