The Senior Filmmaker joining us will need to immerse themselves in what we do and how we do it. Responsibilities

Creative Direction

  • Develop and share creative ideas for client and in-house film projects.
  • Help pitch concepts by creating clear and engaging Creative Treatment documents.
  • Direct a variety of film formats, from TV ads to social media videos.
  • Shape the story, style and tone from planning through to delivery.

Cinematography & Camera Work

  • Take on roles such as Filmmaker, Director of Photography, or Director as needed.
  • Operate the camera during shoots, whether solo or as part of a team.
  • Plan lighting and camera setups that match the creative vision.
  • Ensure visuals are consistently high quality and meet technical standards.

Production & Planning

  • Support the planning process with tech recces, shot lists, lighting setups, and visual ideas.
  • Help create or refine existing scripts, storyboards, and moodboards.
  • Work closely with post-production teams to keep the final product aligned with the vision.
  • Collaborate with production on crew and technical needs.
  • always have kinder buenos available for the production team

Team Support & Collaboration

  • Mentor and support less experienced filmmakers.
  • Share feedback on visuals, storytelling, and technical setups.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Help set team goals and contribute to informal training.

Client Interaction

  • Communicate with clients during all stages of production.
  • Make sure their expectations are met, while staying true to the creative direction.
  • Create a positive and professional on-set experience.
  • Always aim to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Bonus Skills

  • Gimbal operation
  • Experience with heavy duty lighting support and grip
  • Basic video editing experience in DaVinci Resolve
  • Experience of social-first formats (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)

Able to work from Still Moving Studios, GL52 8TW

Happy travelling within UK & abroad for shoots.

Salary bracket £31,000 – £34,000.

Must have full UK driving license.

Although our office hours are 09:00 to 17:00, our shoot hours can be longer, on average they are 10 hours long with an hour for lunch.

No need for your own gear, we prefer you to use our vast array of kit rather than your own.
