Express Recruitment are working in partnership with a local Law Firm with recruiting a Paralegal in their Debt Recovery Team on a temporary to permanent basis. They are expanding their team, and the successful candidate will be joining this friendly, hard-working team.
This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their career within the Legal or professional services sector. The role would equally suit an individual with legal knowledge and experience looking to further expand their career.
- Manage a varied caseload related to collecting service charge and ground rent arrears
- Conduct legal research to support cases and legal arguments
- Check compliance documents in line with legislation
- Advise on the law ad legal issues relating to the case
- Negotiate with clients, third parties and professionals to secure settlements
Skills & Experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues
- Familiar with legal software and tools like case management systems desirable but not essential
- Two years’ experience working within debt recovery ideal but not essential
- Good IT skills, to include competence in Microsoft Office
