Well If so Southern Ecological Solutions (SES), part of the RSK Group, has the perfect opportunity for you! We’re looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Seasonal Ecologists to join our friendly and supportive team for the upcoming season.
You will have the opportunity to support on a wide range of ecological surveys (reptile, badger and bat surveys mainly) and fieldwork (including ECoW) across the UK. You will also gain valuable exposure to assist with reporting of key data from survey results and site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with protected species surveys including bats, great crested newts, reptiles and badgers.
- Assist with onsite mitigation works, including ECoW.
- Conduct habitat assessments and Phase 1/UKHab surveys/BNG Condition assessments.
- Collect, manage, and input field data accurately.
- Support with ecological mitigation and monitoring projects.
Personal Attributes & Qualifications:
You will be a strong communicator who can work well as part of a seasonal team and individually on certain tasks. You will also have good attention to detail within your work and the willingness to work outside in all conditions.
Previous field survey experience (professional or voluntary) would be most welcomed. A degree/qualification in Ecology or a related environmental discipline would be desirable.
Full UK driving licence use of own vehicle will be essential for this role.
