Aviation recruitment experts Optime are hiring Customer Care Agents to join a respected and welcoming team at Birmingham International Airport.
Please note: This is a mobility assistance role, not a check-in position.
This is a rewarding role supporting passengers with reduced mobility as they travel through the airport. If you\’re friendly, reliable and enjoy helping others, you\’ll find this a fulfilling and fast-paced position. Full training is provided and you’ll be part of a supportive on-site team from day one.

What’s on offer:
- Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
- Shift Pattern: 5 on, 3 off (this includes both weekdays and weekends)
- Weekly Pay
- Temp to Perm opportunity based on performance
- Full uniform and airport ID provided
Example Rota:
Day 1 – 04:30–14:30
Day 2 – 04:30–14:30
Day 3 – 09:30–18:00
Day 4 – 12:30–21:00
Day 5 – 12:30–21:00
3 x OFF
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver friendly, professional service to passengers at all times
- Escort passengers with reduced mobility through the airport on foot, by wheelchair, or electric buggy
- Assist with luggage when required
- Complete daily equipment checks and report any faults promptly
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and ready for use
- Communicate updates via handheld devices to Central Control
- Complete all paperwork accurately and submit it on time
- Carry out any reasonable duties as directed by supervisors
What you’ll need:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Great communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
- Previous airport experience is a bonus but not required
- UK Settled Status (if applicable)
- Current proof of address
Important: Due to airport regulations, all applicants must pass a basic DBS check and provide a 5-year checkable work/education history.
