Role
Forbes Solicitors LLP is seeking an Insurance Claims Paralegal to join our Insurance team at our Manchester office. This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
This opportunity is ideal for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal eager to advance their career within our award-winning Insurance team, contributing their skills in a professional and collaborative environment. The role offers a balanced work-life approach and is regionally based.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of defendant insurance motor claims, including small claims, fast track RTA’s, and recovery claims for motor insurers. They will also support team members with fast track and multi-track EL/PL claims, offering room for growth beyond motor claims.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective support to Advisors through chargeable legal work, such as evidence collection, witness statements, court preparations, and legal bundle compilation.
- Ensuring timely progression of cases, prioritizing tasks, monitoring deadlines, and keeping clients informed.
- Drafting and preparing legal documents with analysis and understanding of gathered information.
- Offering legal advice under supervision to resolve queries and progress cases.
- Assessing client queries and managing case files efficiently.
- Participating in external meetings, court hearings, and networking events.
- Maintaining accurate case management systems and documents.
- Conducting legal research and producing reports and articles.
- Managing client and stakeholder communications effectively, including updates, expectations, and escalations.

- CILEX qualification/Law Degree or equivalent
- Previous paralegal experience in civil litigation
