Our client is looking to appoint an experienced paralegal or legal executive claims handler to its in house legal team.
Role Overview
You will join role to join the established and growing team headed by an experienced solicitor. The role is to deal with incoming claims for a self-insured not for profit organisation. You will deal with the claims prelitigation, ideally resolving them at that stage. If litigated you will still be involved, but working alongside panel solicitors handling the claim.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking someone with the following experience/characteristics:
- Previous experience dealing with public liability and employers liability work from a claimant or defendant perspective. As a guide you must have at least 12 months experience handling cases of this nature.
- Able to assess liability and quantum.
- Additional experience in property damage work would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of CPR and litigation process.
- Ability to interpret policy information.
- Able to form strategy for the case and deal with external legal panel lawyers to progress the case.
