Level 2 (Grade 3) SEND Teaching Assistant required for September 2025

Higher Failsworth is a larger than average school with approximately 440 children (with 14 currently on EHC plans) and 50+ staff. It is a large building with many original features (it is 108 years old) which has been adapted so that space is used creatively. Higher Failsworth is within the borough of Oldham but its location means it is ideally suited to candidates living in the Greater Manchester area, being very close to Manchester city centre, motorway networks (school is 5 minutes from M60), bus routes and a Metrolink station.

The Governors are looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with children with SEND in either Key Stage 1 or 2 depending on skill set. The post is 32.5 hours per week and attendance at INSET days (including twilights) is a requirement. You will need to have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience of working with children with SEN.
