We are recruiting for a Cost Assurance Auditor (12 Month FTC) within the Finance Team, based on site in Birmingham.
We are working on Britain’s largest construction project and offer the opportunity to contribute to a major HS2 route in the West Midlands.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CVA team as the main point of contact, providing updates and clarification on contractual points.
- Collaborate with the HS2 Fraud Team and various project stakeholders.
- Schedule regular meetings with budget owners to review and monitor their “non defined cost budget.”
- Prepare monthly cost assurance reporting for Management (cost assurance strategy monthly meeting).
- Elaborate and maintain the “cost assurance” Power BI dashboard.
- Participate in the issuance of cl.50.8 elements.
Experienced required
- An audit background is essential; the role would suit a first or second move into industry.
- Excellent knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Self-starter, highly motivated, energetic, and dedicated, with a strong track record of promotion in prior roles.
- The role may require some travel within the Birmingham region, but will be predominantly based in head office.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI
Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We are delivering a 90km section of HS2 from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
Overall, we are building 9.3km of viaducts, two twin bore tunnels and two cut and cover tunnels, 28 underbridges and 11 underpasses across our sites.
