By enabling digital transformation, they empower UK organisations to leverage cutting-edge cloud technology, data, AI, and cyber security solutions. As they expand their offerings in the data protection space, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and shape the future of this exciting business area.
Business Development Manager duties:
- Build and manage a robust data protection sales pipeline to drive consistent growth and incremental revenue streams.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to enhance product offerings and create bespoke solutions for customers.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to design, execute, and track targeted data protection campaigns across all sectors.
- Serve as a data protection specialist, educating customers on solutions and aligning offerings with their unique needs.
- Work closely with the service delivery team to ensure that all service-level agreements (SLAs) and deliverables meet compliance standards.
- Track and manage all sales leads and opportunities, ensuring effective reporting and communication with key stakeholders.
- Provide quarterly sales performance updates and manage the profit and loss (P&L) of the data protection business unit.
- Act as an educator and advocate within the organisation, embedding data protection strategies into the company’s go-to-market approach.
Business Development Manager qualifications, experience and traits:
- Proven experience in a business development or sales role focused on data protection services, ideally within a reseller or distributor environment.
- Strong technical understanding of data protection solutions and the current marketplace, with knowledge of cyber security being advantageous.
- Confidence and decision-making ability to drive business objectives and meet customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and exceed personal and business goals, with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised and structured, with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
