About White Hart, Ford
Landlord Tamas and his friendly team welcome you to the White Hart, nestled in the sleepy hamlet of Ford, near Chippenham. This hidden gem is surrounded by leafy scenery and the babbling By Brooke river that meanders through the garden.
Dating back to Tudor times, the White Hart served as a coaching inn linking London to the West Country. Its history is reflected in the creaking wooden floors, exposed beams, and wonky lintels, offering olde worlde charm and character.
Located within easy reach of Castle Combe, known as the ‘prettiest village in England’, the pub is a must-visit. It’s a living antique in the Wiltshire countryside, just a 5-minute drive away, with many scenic hiking trails and nature walks. We are dog-friendly, so you can explore the area with your four-legged friends.
Above and beside our delightful pub, there are 11 uniquely charming bedrooms, each offering a cozy retreat with a blend of tradition and thoughtful details. These rooms provide more than just accommodation; they are a restful escape.
Whether you’re looking for a cozy spot for a quiet drink, a hearty meal by the fireside, or a restful night’s sleep, the White Hart in Ford promises an unforgettable experience.
