Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wireman/Fitter to join our team, working across substations primarily within the NGED region. Location: various sites across the NGED region. Job Type: Full-Time. Salary: Competitive + benefits + company van.
Responsibilities
- Carry out wiring, fitting, and earthing work on NGED substations
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and work instructions on-site
- Undertake training to obtain PTW (Permit to Work) and LOA (Limitation of Access) authorisations
- Maintain accurate documentation and work records
- Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to ensure timely and safe project delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wireman or Fitter, ideally in substations or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and earthing systems
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and site conditions
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2360 or equivalent electrical qualification
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- IPAF (Powered Access) Certification
- Telehandler Operator Training
- First Aid at Work Certification
