I am working with a construction company that delivers high-quality general building and refurbishment projects across the Midlands and beyond. The work spans commercial new builds, education settings, healthcare environments, and office fit-outs—typically valued around £1 million.
Role Overview:
I am looking for a capable and driven Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-start through to completion and handover. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining our client's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver construction projects (typically £500k–£1.5m) to agreed specifications

Manage programmes, site teams, subcontractors, materials, and logistics

Liaise with clients, design teams, and consultants throughout project lifecycle
-
Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards

Monitor costs, variations, and financial reporting alongside the Commercial Manager

Lead regular site and client progress meetings
-
Produce and maintain project documentation and reports
-
Identify and resolve any delays or issues affecting programme or quality

Support the Contracts Director with forecasting and resource planning
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Proven experience managing construction projects of similar scale (£500k–£2m)

Strong knowledge of general building, refurbishment, and fit-out processes

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Solid understanding of construction regulations and H&S compliance

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
-
Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid)

Full UK driving licence
