Are you an experienced HR practitioner specialising in transactional HR activity? If so, we have an exciting opportunity undertaking a busy and varied role.

We want to find the very best people to work at CCCU and our vision is to create an inspiring place for people to work and achieve their full potential whilst delivering the University’s ambitions.

As a member of a multiskilled People Services Team, you will oversee processes and drive best practice whilst providing a highly regarded and efficient end-to-end recruitment and onboarding service to all candidates, employees, line managers and organisational leaders.

You will partner with University schools and departments in the delivery of efficient and cost-effective resourcing assignments, ensuring campaigns are far reaching and attractively market University opportunities to applicants with the requisite skills, knowledge and experience. You will advise on campaign timelines and advertising strategy, support job description and advert development, manage social media advertising and source candidates using a wide variety of platforms.

In addition, you will assume responsibility for supporting successful candidates in their onboarding journey to ensure their transition from candidate to employee is smooth and efficient and aligned to our values. The new starter onboarding process includes producing accurate and timely offer documentation, completing relevant pre-employment checks, including right to work, references, health clearance and DBS, supporting account set-up, and ongoing housekeeping tasks, ensuring that relevant systems are maintained and annual University-wide processes are implemented.

We are at an exciting point in the delivery of the University’s People Strategy, and this role will give you the opportunity to innovate and to contribute to project work that will shape the future of resourcing and onboarding practice at CCCU.

Working as part of a team will be important to you, and you will enjoy managing both your own workloads alongside working with other team members to ensure the broader workloads are covered and excellence in customer service maintained. You will be detail orientated with solid experience of administration and, ideally, broad experience of recruiting and onboarding for positions at every level. You will be able to demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and IT skills.

We work in a hybrid way that ensures we are flexible to both business and individual needs and remain connected to each other and our campus. In practice this means a mix of days working in Canterbury and our other campuses, alongside the flexible choice of working from home too if that suits you.
