Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has realised the biggest change to the city region’s transport system in nearly four decades. As part of the ongoing progression of bus franchised services across Greater Manchester, TfGM now have an exciting opportunity to join our bus team playing a key role in managing the performance of the franchised bus network and franchisees, delivering the best possible service to bus passengers in the area!

Your Role

As Bus Performance Manager, you will have responsibility for monitoring on road, revenue and patronage performance and most importantly maintain a detailed knowledge of these indicators at route level, enabling or facilitating action plans to deal with under-performance. You will act at the main point of contact within TfGM and each of the franchises.

You will have significant experience in the public transport sector and a demonstrable ability to analyse KPIs, patronage and revenue data and formulate action plans to deliver the best possible service delivery and overall performance. Experience of replicating good quality performance would also be beneficial. You should possess a strong track record of engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders as well as elected members. You will have the ability to interpret complex contractual requirements and ideally some experience of working on high profile projects.
