Burys Building Control Team – Technical Support Officer
Burys Building Control team has an opportunity for a Technical Support Officer to provide administrative support. As a front-line service, you will be the public interface of Building Control.
You should be able to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including elected members, staff, other council departments, customers, government agencies, other local authorities, professional bodies, and service providers.
The role includes validation of Building Regulation applications, applications for Demolition, and the creation of postal addresses in accordance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
You should have a good basic education, be computer literate with experience in Windows-based word processing, meet tight deadlines, work well within a team, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Willingness to undertake technical training to expand your knowledge and experience is essential.
You will be based at the Council Offices, 3 Knowsley Place, Bury.
Working Hours
Normal hours are 37 per week, based around the usual business week. Depending on service needs, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
