Position Overview
Fletchers Solicitors Ltd invites you to join our growing EL/PL team. The role involves assisting a Litigation Executive or Solicitor in all aspects of their cases, ensuring matters progress efficiently. You will work on a diverse caseload of employer’s and public liability matters under the guidance of a lead Litigation Executive or Solicitor.

Responsibilities
- Assist Litigation Executive or Solicitor with cases to ensure timely progress.
- Progress files in line with KPI targets.
- Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third‑party solicitors/insurers, police and other relevant parties.
- Handle all aspects of pre‑ and post‑issue procedures.
- Draft statements of case, witness statements, application notices.
- Prepare accurate and detailed file notes.
- Research points of law on liability and quantum and take responsibility for research prior to tasks.
- Assist with telephone negotiations and case‑management conferences.
- Pursue cases to conclusion as directed.
- Attend courts and conferences, including occasional overnight stays.
- Prepare trial bundles.
- Help prepare cost instruction sheets and disbursement lists.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong research and drafting skills.
- Sound knowledge of serious injury and court procedure law.
- Excellent attention to detail and file‑management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Analytical, decision‑making in a diverse environment.
- IT competence.
- Excellent time management.
- Preferably prior experience in a personal injury department.
- Flexible working hours and ability to travel.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- A law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law (or desire to gain legal qualifications via CILEX, paralegal apprenticeship or SQE routes).
- Previous legal work experience.
- Valid driving licence.
