We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior HSE&S Professional II to lead our Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSE&S) activities. This role is crucial in ensuring our operations comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ISO and corporate standards. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement in HSE&S performance, maintaining our community’s right to operate and preventing financial losses due to incidents. This position demands a proactive approach to safeguarding our plant and its operations.
Your responsibilities:
- The HSE&S Senior Professional will oversee the monitoring of operations to ensure compliance with regulatory HSE&S requirements through inspections, internal audits, and adherence to duties imposed by regulators.
- This role involves developing and supporting the implementation of Process Hazard Analysis, health, safety, environment, and process safety programs, providing training initiatives, conducting audits, and ensuring plant procedures align with company policies and standards.
- The professional will keep senior management informed of changing HSE&S regulations that significantly impact the business.
- In this role, you will issue reports as determined by company requirements.
- Additionally, the role requires maintaining documented HSE&S systems and fostering effective communication with internal managers, co-workers, and external contacts such as authorities, emergency services, HSE&S consultants, neighboring factories, and industry associations.
- The role typically reports to UK HSE Manager and involves supervising HSE support staff, employees, and contractors on site. This position requires an individual who can inspire and drive excellence in HSE&S practices across the organization.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in science or chemistry or an equivalent qualification, with additional qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management, and process safety.
- A strong knowledge of HSE regulations and technical processes is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE.
