Quality Inspector

Inspector – *INTERNAL APPLICATIONS ONLY

Location: Scarborough

An exciting opportunity to manage and control the Quality process of vehicles in build by ensuring the high standard expected of AD product is met in a controlled and documented manner.

Main responsibilities:

1. Follow agreed Quality Control Process
2. Ensure all defects are recorded and cleared by build stage
3. Maintain Quality Control Process Communication (white) Boards to include relevant SOPs, critical care points, and fault reduction/quality data
4. Fully understand the Quality Standard required for the area of build
5. Understand the build plan and ensure build moves/delivery dates are met
6. Work with Production to ensure operatives understand the quality standards required
7. Train, educate, and guide operators where quality standards are not met
8. Ensure all build and audit processes are complete prior to release of build stage or delivery of ‘F’ Note
9. Analyse data, develop, and implement fault reduction processes
10. Achieve personal KPIs set to measure fault reduction
11. Promote a 5S culture and assist in maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others
12. Demonstrate pride and passion in delivering ADL/Plaxton products to customers
13. Work outside of core hours as required to meet build programme/customer deliveries, including additional (unpaid) hours

About You

• Self-driven and motivated, able to work as part of a team
• Good understanding of Coach/Bus building processes
• Understanding of Quality Standards and care points
• Thorough understanding of customer focus and expectations
• Effective planning, communication, and organizational skills
• Able to solve problems and initiate change
• Computer literate
