East London Waterworks Park is seeking campaigner volunteers to lead projects in developing our community-owned park, featuring biodiverse landscapes, natural swimming ponds, and more.

Impact of Your Role

You will influence the creation of a vibrant, eco-friendly community park by coordinating with professionals like architects, ecologists, and social researchers. Your efforts will help craft engaging experiences, foster community support, and ensure the park\’s sustainability.

• Community Engagement & Leadership: Build trust, engage diverse groups, organize events, and foster participation.
• Advocacy & Communication: Understand policies, advocate for park creation, and effectively communicate the vision.
• Project Management & Planning: Develop plans, manage budgets, and oversee volunteers.
• Passion & Commitment: Dedication to community development and environmental sustainability.
• Skills: Knowledge of local ecology, fundraising experience.

Responsibilities

Participate in community-led working groups, support project development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Meetings are held online biweekly, with additional tasks completed remotely.
