Eddie Stobart is currently looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their growing team in Sittingbourne. The role is based on a Morrisons site in Sittingbourne and involves store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, manual handling, drop and swaps, and general trunking.
Job Description
Available shifts and start times:
Start times will be within a two-hour start window.
- Sunday-Thursday 18:00 (also responsible for covering shunter holidays)
- Tuesday-Saturday 19:30
- Sunday-Thursday 01:15
- Tuesday-Saturday 01:45
- Thursday-Monday 00:01
Starting salary from £42,304 per annum based on an average of 54 hours per week.
- Monday-Friday days – £15.00/hr (including meal allowance and tier payment)
- Monday-Friday nights – £16.30/hr (including meal allowance and tier payment)
- Saturday and Sunday days – £18.00/hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)
- Saturday and Sunday nights – £18.50/hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)
- Bank holidays – £18.81/hr (including meal allowance and tier payments)
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months Class 1 experience
- Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho Card
- No more than 6 points on your licence with no DD/DR convictions
- Understanding and compliance with driver’s hours and WTD legislation
- Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects
- Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements
