Junior Finance Assistant

We’re looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team at a leading UK Ski travel business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early-stage finance experience or a relevant qualification to build their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
You will be mentored and work closely with two experienced finance assistants and report into our Financial Controller, supporting day-to-day finance operations across multiple brands and business units.
Your Role
You’ll support the finance function with day-to-day tasks such as invoice processing, supplier queries, reconciliations, and general financial admin. You’ll also be mentored by our two Finance Assistants, giving you hands-on training and exposure to the full finance cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Logging, processing, and reconciling supplier invoices
- Assisting with supplier payment runs in GBP and foreign currencies
- Chasing and resolving missing or incorrect payment information
- Expense claims and analysis
- Helping with month-end reconciliations
- General finance admin and support across the wider team
What We’re Looking For
- Some prior experience in a finance role or a relevant qualification (degree, AAT, or equivalent in bookkeeping/accounting)
- A strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with Xero (preferred but not essential)
- Great attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with spreadsheets
- A proactive, organised, and team-oriented mindset
- Clear communication skills and a professional attitude
