We are searching for an experienced Scrum Master with a true continuous improvement mindset to join a diverse and dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading at least two squads and will play a pivotal role in facilitating Agile best practice.

- Sheffield Office
- Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate ceremonies and managing the teams’ time effectively to drive positive outcomes.
- Facilitate discovery, impact, story mapping and other sessions required to plan milestones.
- Manage, track and visualise the flow of work through the team to aid performance.
- Own performance tracking of the team through data, metrics and measures, whilst also maintaining a risk log for the team.
- Lead and coach the team to ensure they are following Agile processes and practices.
- Ensure the team reach as many spring goals as possible – balancing commitment with outcomes and sustainable pace.
- Provide an open and transparent view of the teams’ progress, challenges and performance to all stakeholders.
- Take ownership for end-to-end delivery, including coordination with internal/external teams.
- Track team costs and the projected cost of reaching set milestones – including time recording.
- Own each sprint burndown and release burn up.
- Ensure any impediments and blockers are removed to enable continuous improvement.
- Support discovery and ideation before forming a team to scope out initiatives.
- Build domain knowledge to drive product features towards agreed outcomes.
- Build technical knowledge to help understand and empathise with the teams’ challenges and opportunities.
- Share ideas, patterns, anti-patterns and evidence aligning of practises over time.
- Drive quality and standards in line with organisational policies, risk appetite and strategic goals, whilst maintaining technical governance.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, leading at least two squads.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
- Experience in leading diverse teams and fostering an inclusive team culture.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
