Job Title:Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary:£45,000 – £50,000

About the Role:
This permanent position provides comprehensive technical support to our Client\’s Technical department across all project stages: tenders, pre-construction, design, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and manage RFIs.
- Review project specifications and tender offers for technical compliance.
- Support Sales with tender clarifications and exclusions.
- Verify material/equipment compliance and costs.
- Contribute to Project Execution Plans (PEP).
- Support pre-construction and prefabrication/Off-Site Assembly design.
- Produce technical submittals and installation information.
- Procure major plant & equipment.
- Attend design meetings/workshops; review/produce drawings/schematics.
- Interface with internal control teams.
- Review mechanical system commissionability.
- Support testing & commissioning.
- Produce As-Built / Handover documentation.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Basic Autocad / Revit skills preferred.
Qualifications & Person Specification:
- Previous engineering experience, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
