Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Delegated Driving Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will conduct practical driving tests and ensure compliance with DVSA standards. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining high driving standards. You’ll be an experienced driver with excellent judgement and be committed to safe driving and improving road safety with the ability to reassure and support leaner drivers. You will possess excellent communication and customer service skills to deliver a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment while making timely, justified and sometimes difficult decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Module 3 and, where appropriate, Module 4 practical driving tests in line with DVSA standards.
- Perform theory testing in accordance with DVSA standards.
- Maintain and develop examining and driving skills.
- Ensure testing centers comply with DVSA standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and complete necessary paperwork and administration for DVSA.
- Participate in working groups as a technical expert.
- Conduct company tests.
Requirements
- Must be aged 24 or over.
- Hold a UK or EU driving licence continuously for the last 4 years with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Completion of the DVSA driving examiners course (training provided if not already obtained).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for driving standards and professional integrity.
- Effective communication skills to put delegates at ease.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of driving standards and a commitment to staying updated on changes.
