The A Side: A Day in The Life

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying and Merchandising Admin Assistant to support the Buying and Merchandising Manager as well as the Supply Chain Manager at Abbey Road Retail. This role will involve assisting with stock management, order tracking, and sales analysis for both the physical shop and eCommerce operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a buying/merchandising role, with strong administrative skills and proficiency in retail management systems. This role requires a keen attention to detail, as well as the ability to manage both physical and eCommerce stock and order processes.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

Be Organised

  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Merch/Buyer to determine units required for orders and maintain clear tracking for both physical shop and eCommerce.
  • Review units required for eCommerce on a monthly basis to ensure alignment with sales demand and trends.
  • Track incoming orders for eCommerce and physical shop inventory, confirming delivery dates with suppliers and following up on any outstanding units.
  • Assist with the setup of new SKUs, ensuring proper categorisation for both eCommerce and in-store management in the system.
  • Maintain oversight of stock levels across Space Station, on-site stockrooms, and external suppliers (e.g., Bravado) for both the physical shop and eCommerce.
  • Keep accurate records for retail related consumables like Labels, Tags, and Carrier Bags required and maintain proper tracking.

Be Analytical

  • Perform weekly analysis of eCommerce sales, identifying trends and reporting key insights to the Buying and Merchandising team.
  • Prepare and send monthly unit sales reports to all suppliers, ensuring accurate sales data for eCommerce and physical store inventory.
  • Use sales data to forecast future demand for both eCommerce and in-store stock, helping inform buying decisions and stock replenishment.
  • Analyse eCommerce sales and stock data to suggest changes based on trends, improving stock management and sales performance.

Be Administrative

  • Provide general administrative support to the Buyer/Merchandiser for both physical shop and eCommerce operations, ensuring efficient and organised processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of orders, deliveries, and stock levels for both the physical shop and eCommerce.
  • Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the Buying and Merchandising Manager and Supply Chain Manager for both channel

Person Specification

  • Experience in a buying, merchandising, or retail admin role.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with retail management systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Interest in retail trends and a desire to contribute to an evolving and creative environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks for both eComm physical stores.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a strong team ethos.
