The Role
The Role
Alldrivers are entitled to a monthly bonus by ensuring that all vehicles are driven with the care and respect.
Transporter Driver to ensure the efficient and timely collection and delivery of vehicles to and from locations. Nights out may be required when requested.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure daily safety checks are completed and defects reported and rectified in line with expected procedures
- Working within the WTD and drivers’ hours regulations
- Communicate with branch, buyers, vendors, central logistics operations team.
- Awareness of the UK highway code.
- Work in line with SLA’s and expectations of the business.
- Awareness of any route diversions, or updates to their delivery journey.
- Following accident reporting process.
- Keeping all licence requirements up to date.
- Knowledge and safe use of multiple transporter configurations.
- Continuous training of the transport fleet.
Decision Making:
- Completing allocated work within SLA’s and expectations of the business.
- Following safe working procedures in line with SSOW.
- Planning the route for best optimisation
- Planning the loading of units, for maximum efficiency
- Adhering to WTD and drivers’ hours regulations.
Qualifications Required:
- HGV licence (relevant for the role)
- Drivers CPC
- Experience within the Transport industry.
- Min 2 years driving experience.
