About the role

Active Safety is a proudly Kiwi owned safety company operating in a high growth industry where providing great customer service is our highest priority. We are a Retail/Trade Store that proudly partners with and supports businesses spanning all sectors of industry. Supplying Uniforms, Embellishments, PPE, Safety Equipment and Hire & Servicing. We now have another position available for a new retail team member to join our Christchurch branch. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and include a Resume and Cover Letter when applying.

About the role and requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to become a part of our growing team by taking on the role of Retail Assistant at our Christchurch based Retail/Trade Store.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Effectively assist customers in-store and via telephone and email.
  • Build relationships with and liaise with our partners.
  • Develop the knowledge to advise customers on our PPE range and key product features.
  • Enter into our system and manage the completion of customer orders.
  • Work with your branch and the wider team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Keeping the store tidy and organized.
  • Replenishing stock and assisting with Visual Merchandising.
  • Eftpos and Cash handling.

To be successful for this role ideally you will have a strong combination of the following:

  • Great people skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
  • A desire to engage with and build rapport with customers.
  • Strong computer literacy and admin capabilities.
  • Comfortable multitasking and working in busy environments.
  • High level of ownership and accountability with a strong solutions mindset.
  • An interest in, and respect for, the safety industry.
  • Previous experiences in a similar position is advantageous but full training will be provided.
