Murphy is recruiting for a Document Controller to work with the Energy Team in the Stonecross office – WA3 3JD.

We support groundbreaking transmission and distribution projects in four countries, offering design, construction and commissioning services across the conventional power and energy transition markets.
Responsibilities
- Maintain document control as the focal point for all construction documentation.
- Carry out document control requirements as per contract and within agreed timescales.
- Manage obsolete/superseded/withdrawn documents, ensuring they are retained or properly marked.
- Ensure documents on the Client CDE are permanently available or transferred to the JMS CDE before contract completion.
- Allocate document numbers following JMS or client specified numbering procedures.
- Review document details and ensure all metadata (doc number, revision, status, title, date, page numbering, header, footer, template, print setup, signatures) are correct prior to issue.
- Quality‑check documents and correct typographical/formatting errors to maintain professionalism.
- Oversee management of change, ensuring documents are processed correctly and linked to contract documents.
Qualifications
- Experience in a professional Document Control or Administration department.
- Proficiency with IT systems: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems such as Aconex, ProjectWise, etc.
