Your future team:
The Health & Safety Officer will report directly into the Health & Safety Manager, and will be responsible for supporting with influencing, improving and reporting on the health and safety performance and culture at ROCKWOOL UK.

What you bring:
- Good knowledge of UK H&S legislation
- Understanding of ISO management systems
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Auditor training and experience
- Capable of working well in a team
- The ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
What you will be doing:
- Undertaking occupational health & hygiene monitoring including dust and fume monitoring, noise surveillance and Legionella sampling
- Arranging for external consultants to carry out formal monitoring/surveys (e.g. LEV, occupational exposure, noise, fire suppression systems, asbestos, manual handling, vibration etc.) and work with the H&S Manager to instigate improvements
- Booking necessary novice/refresher external training courses (e.g. forklift truck, hoist, confined space, breathing apparatus, loading shovel, first aid etc.) when required for relevant staff
- Maintaining RockSHE (internal database) as a super user and undertake investigations into SHE incidents
- Checking and demonstrating compliance with legislation and internal standards (Group MMRs)
- Assisting in the recording and monitoring of H&S key figures at department and company levels
- Undertaking and supporting the development of risk assessments
- Undertaking site inspections on a regular basis to identify and address non-conformances
- Delivering relevant H&S training and inductions
- Assisting with the development and continued improvement of site management systems (specifically ISO 45001, but also ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001)
- Acting as an internal auditor for the management system
