Working Pattern: Hybrid – 1 day per week in office, increasing to 2 days per week every third week. Full-time in-office attendance required during initial training period.
About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and organised Payroll Specialist to join our client\’s team in Manchester on a 6-month temporary contract. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in payroll administration and finance, preferably in a shared service environment.
This is a heavily administrative and customer-focused role, requiring excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service in line with SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate, timely payroll processing in line with internal procedures and statutory requirements
- Provide a customer-centric service, handling queries with professionalism and efficiency
- Ensure all service levels and SLAs are consistentlymet
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity across all systems
- Carry out general administrative duties across payroll and finance functions
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in payroll and finance administration
- Experience working in a shared service centre or high-volume environment preferred
- Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion
