At Farewill, now part of the Dignity Funerals Group, we are on a mission to make will-writing simple, accessible, and legally robust. We are now expanding our expert team and looking for an experienced Senior Will Writer who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service while ensuring the highest legal standards.
This role is ideal for someone with a comprehensive background in will writing, estate planning, or legal document drafting who is confident in guiding customers through the process and ensuring that every document is legally sound. What the day-to-day will look like for you:

Guiding customers through the will-writing process using WillSuite, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every stage.
Drafting and sending at least 25 legally sound wills per week, ensuring they are free from critical errors that could impact the customer, their beneficiaries, or the business.
Handling complex wills and ensuring they are completed within 10 working days of receiving final instructions, escalating any issues where necessary.
Ensuring a smooth and efficient process, closing each case within five working days of the customer confirming they are happy with and understand their will.
Providing prompt and professional support, responding to customer queries by phone or email promptly, and escalating complex issues or complaints as needed.
Working collaboratively within a small, expert team, supporting the wider business where necessary to ensure an excellent customer experience.

We are looking for someone who has:

Proven experience in will writing, estate planning, or legal document drafting, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
Is preferably STEPs qualified or working towards.
A strong understanding of UK wills, probate, and inheritance laws, with the ability to identify potential risks and ensure all wills are legally sound.
Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that all documents meet the highest standards and contain zero critical errors.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, supportive, and empathetic way.
Strong organisational and time management skills, able to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
A proactive, problem-solving approach, with experience in handling and escalating complex cases when necessary.
