Summary/Objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi-Cola Bottler founded in Birmingham, AL, more than 100 years ago. The Corporate Shipping and Receiving Dispatch Clerk is a key member of the Warehouse team that provides technical support, information, and WMS and YMS system updates for all Receiving and Shipping functions, as well as, provides timely tracking and monitoring for all Transportation dispatch functions.
Essential Functions
- Confirms load completion information for all inbound and outbound loads by WMS system verification.
- Verifies Bill of Lading (BOL) accuracy.
- Verifies Bill of Lading (BOL) against outside vendor billing (Invoicing).
- Primary contact for all corporate warehouse activity (phone and email) in support of vendor, production, corporate warehouse, and transportation requirements, and notifies applicable supervisor, as required.
- Will be responsible for logging in & out all (BRC) Transport Drivers, and customer pickups for all inbound and outbound shipment requirements.
- Communicate any late delivery or pick up to supervisor.
- Resolves any discrepancies with proper parties.
- Required to complete other activities assigned by supervisor.
- May be required to work varying shifts, weekends and/or overtime if needed to meet customer demand.
- Must be able to maintain all required transaction(s) during stressful periods and verify the items completion.
YMS Responsibilities
- Initiate and perform transactions in YMS (Yard Management System) to include: trailer location moves, product search queries, reconcile any company billing requirements that required YMS research.
- Actively communicate any circumstances that may impact receiving, loading, transportation, or product shipment.
- Perform general housekeeping functions within the warehouse, offices and grounds.
- Must follow all safety guidelines as required by management.
- Food Safety: Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110.
- Required to participate in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes.
- Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
