Food and Beverage Assistant – Hastings Hotels, Northern Ireland
Location: Great Victoria St.
We’re seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Food & Beverage Team at the exclusive Europa Hotel.
Hours vary to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening functions.
Rate: £9.00 – £12.25 hourly depending on age.

About the Role
To be responsible for serving food & beverages for the greatest enjoyment of our guests and maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring the highest standard of service and that all guest needs and expectations are met. Typical tasks include clearing and setting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and taking payments.
- Ensure all cash, charges, floats, and till procedures are carried out correctly.
- Greet guests and respond to their queries.
- Ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.
- Always maintain the security of stock areas, immediately reporting any breaches.
- Be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and proactively sell these to guests.
- Handle guest concerns politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
- Comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as required by management.
About You
We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food & Beverage Team will provide you with full training.
Required Criteria
- Good command of English language.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- GCSE level or equivalent with grades A‑C in English and Maths.
- Excellent communication and basic numeracy skills.
- Professional appearance.
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience serving food and beverages.
