Job Overview

We are seeking an orthotist to work as an active member of the Orthotics team, delivering clinical care to patients within a growing service and in a vibrant department.

Responsibilities

Deliver orthotic clinics with your own caseload of patients and provide advice to medical and nursing staff in the UHB on aspects of orthotic assessment, provision and management.

Qualifications & Experience

HCPC registered as an Orthotist/Prosthetist and hold a degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent experience. Experience across a wide range of pathologies including rheumatology, orthopaedics, neurological, spinal/scoliosis and diabetology. Sufficient experience in a healthcare setting and the ability to supervise and support students and trainees.

Desirable Skills

Welsh speaking ability is desirable but English is adequate. MDT working essential. Strong knowledge of scoliosis patients is an advantage.

Location & Working Conditions

Full‑time Band 6 Senior Orthotist position. Based in ALAS on the grounds of Rookwood Hospital, covering the entire Cardiff & Vale UHB across six hospital sites.
