Business Development Manager (PPE)

Description:

We are hiring for our client, a leading supplier of advanced protective apparel, who are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the launch of an innovative new product, while expanding their wider product offering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that serves key sectors including police forces, fire and rescue, and other high-risk industries.

You will play a pivotal role in driving B2B sales, leading on tenders, engaging with high-value clients, and contributing to strategic product growth across the UK, Ireland & Internationally.

The Role

* Lead sales for protective apparel products
* Identify new B2B opportunities through industry networking and strategic outreach
* Manage key accounts and foster long-term client partnerships
* Deliver tailored presentations to high-level stakeholders
* Collaborate on technical tender submissions and product positioning
* Support cross-functional teams including marketing, technical, and product development
* Assist with technical certifications and new product launches
* Conduct market research and competitor analysis to shape strategy
* Provide insightful reports on sales activity and pipeline health
* Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and industry events

The Person

* Minimum 5+ years in B2B sales, ideally in PPE, manufacturing, workwear or industrial
* Strong track record in sales growth and client engagement
* Experience in tender submissions and complex sales cycles
* Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
* Highly self-motivated, strategic, and commercially minded
* Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office
* Able to travel regularly for client meetings and industry events
