WAN Architect
Location: Warrington (WAR13)
Regular travel to both customer and Fujitsu sites.

As a Site WAN Architect, you will contribute to this by working collaboratively in the project delivery team, designing and delivering medium to large network solutions to enable services for our customer that are cost-effective.
We are looking for a Site WAN Architect to work on delivery opportunities within the secure Defence and National Security sector. Your role will involve providing technical leadership within a project, understanding business and technical requirements, producing relevant design collateral, passing governance reviews, and ensuring effective technical delivery of the solution.
Your Experience
- Demonstrable experience understanding customer business and technical requirements, producing solid network solutions.
- Design experience proposing and utilizing technologies from multiple global network vendors (e.g., Cisco and Juniper), including producing quality technical documentation.
- Strong technical networking knowledge with certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA-Design or JNCIA-Junos.
- Ability to create non-standard solutions involving LAN, WAN, WiFi, VPN, Voice, Video, Cyber, and Security technologies, liaising with the Program team where solutions cross responsibility borders.
- Solid understanding of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering to Operational Acceptance, with good commercial and financial awareness regarding risks and dependencies.
- Support project and programme management with reporting, ensuring timely delivery that meets customer expectations.
- Excellent communication skills with multiple stakeholders, ownership, responsibility, and decision-making ability. Calm and concise communication with the customer.
- Ideally, previous experience working within the UK defence sector.
