Position Energy Mentor
Location Primarily remote, we work from home but there will be an expectation of some travel around the Liverpool region for customer appointments and events.

We are expanding our Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) services and are looking for dedicated individuals to join us.
At The Wise Group, we are launching a major campaign to support households at risk of or experiencing fuel poverty. Our purpose is to make a real difference by helping tens of thousands of people escape poverty, with a strong focus on tackling fuel poverty. We provide practical support, guidance, and energy-saving tips to help families cut their energy bills, improve their homes, and achieve financial stability.

Energy Mentors provide advocacy and support to vulnerable households regarding their home energy. This is done through the provision of independent, bespoke advice and information to ensure that energy issues are resolved effectively.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with householders to optimise their relationship with fuel consumption and efficiency over time, reducing fuel poverty and helping people live comfortably in a warm home.
- Deliver essential support remotely via phone, email, video, or online chat.
- Provide in-home, face-to-face support where required.
- Participate in community-based outreach work to raise awareness of the HEAT service and identify vulnerable households who could benefit from our support in Greater Manchester, Liverpool or Cumbria.

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the confidence to present and engage with diverse audiences.
- A self-starter who’s comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs, such as Excel and Outlook.
- A driving licence and access to a car is preferred due to the nature of the role.

We will be holding skills and experience days along with interviews and have roles beginning throughout July and August 2025. You will go through a comprehensive onboarding and training programme, making sure you have all the necessary tools to succeed and be a part of the Wise Group community.
