The Nexum Group are looking for a Mechanical Project Manager for our valued client based in Sheffield.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Project Manager to join our dynamic team, overseeing the delivery of mechanical installations on a range of retail and commercial projects across the UK. Based in Sheffield, you’ll be working with major high-street brands and retail outlets, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
You will be responsible for ensuring Supervisors, Operatives and Sub Contractors are compliant from a technical perspsective from commencement to completion of works, providing support to them as is reasonably required, assisting with the day to day running of the team, creating and hitting daily objectives, as well as being part of running small projects.
There will be opportunity for you to progress your own skills within the role/company.
The role also requires you to ensure that all activities are in line with Health and Safety and Quality Business Management System procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all the team, operatives and specialist sub-contractors are maintaining a high level of Health and Safety
- Minimise exposure and risk across projects
- Pursue excellence in all aspects of business
- Plan and manage the teams departmental activities in accordance with the agreed budgets and timescales and within policies and standards
- Set targets (SMART) for all team members
- Develop relevant personal skills and capability through planning and attending training courses
- Undertake site surveys using Site Audit Pro or similar formats to produce reports and attend meetings
- Maintain and develop the corporate image and reputation of the company
- Engage and manage subcontract resource
- Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan
- Organise work groups and team meetings
- Liaise with relevant teams/departments
