You don't need to have any financial experience to do this job, so if you've ever thought about working in finance, specifically for an Investment Management Firm – This is the perfect opportunity. You'll be coming in to take over from the previous engineer, who's just been promoted into a more senior role. You'll have the same path on offer to you.
First of all, you're going to come in and learn all about the systems used here. It's a Microsoft environment, so you'll work a lot with securing Azure and everything associated with it. From learning all about the technical depths of the systems, to ensuring good quality documentation is completed, you'll learn how a fully functioning security department should work within a regulated environment.
You'll need to have a technical background, whether this be from a Computer Science related degree, an internship in Cyber, or ideally, 1-2 years experience working in a Cyber role. A good understanding of the basics of windows and azure systems will be required, but you can learn the rest.
Starting salary will be in the range of £35-40k plus bonuses.
You will be joining an Investment Management firm with offices across the world and tens of billions of dollars under management. You'll be coming into a team that knows how to get the best out of you and has a track record of creating world class cyber security engineers.
