We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to take charge of our design team and help shape the future of our engineering capability. You’ll lead a team of five skilled engineers, collaborate with manufacturing and estimating departments, and deliver high-quality solutions to a wide range of customers across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the design, planning, and execution of diverse engineering projects. Mentor and develop the design team to support future growth and customer confidence. Drive cost and quality improvements through continuous improvement initiatives, supported by measurable KPIs. Champion the adoption of new technologies and products to gain competitive advantage. Build strong client relationships and ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer needs. Provide hands-on technical guidance and governance across all design and manufacturing stages. Skills & Experience Required: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components, ideally within control panel manufacturing. High level proficiency with CAD software and design support tools. Proven leadership experience, with a background in continuous improvement and change management. Strong communicator, able to collaborate across all levels internally and externally. A solution-focused mindset with the ability to lead and inspire others. Knowledge of PLCs and programming is an advantage, but not essential.
