Job Description

Description\\nWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a key role responsible for delivering high-quality technical design information and ensuring project compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Design Manager or Technical Director, you will play an integral part in the lifecycle of our projects from design development to final as-built submissions.\\nThis role requires excellent design software skills, a sound understanding of building regulations and systems, and a proactive attitude toward collaboration, quality assurance, and innovation in design practices including BIM (Building Information Modelling).\\nWhat you will be doing:\\nDesign\\n * Prepare design deliverables, including drawings and technical submittals.\\n * Upload and manage documentation on collaboration platforms (CDEs).\\n * Monitor and manage review procedures on CDEs.\\n * Produce and issue final as-built drawings and documentation.\\n * Coordinate and follow BIM procedures, contributing to BIM meetings and collaboration efforts.\\n * Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical approvals and ensure specification compliance.\\n * Attend design meetings and record actionable outcomes.\\n * Visit project sites to support issue resolution and technical verification.\\n * Maintain strong knowledge of manufacturer systems, approved documents, and trade-specific regulations.\\n * Use Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word proficiently in daily tasks.\\nDocumentation\\n * Maintain drawing and document issue logs.\\n * Create information required schedules and partition schedules.\\n * Review consultant drawings and specifications.\\n * Develop Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).\\n * Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.\\n * Provide pre-registration documentation when required.\\nTender Reviews\\nSupport estimators in reviewing specifications and BIM models during tender stages.\\nAdditional Responsibilities\\nAttend Job Progress Review (JPR) and new project handover meetings.\\nAssist in the procurement of specialist products such as metal ceilings or riser doors.\\nFuture Development\\n * Work towards achieving IFE Level 2 and IFE Level 3 Certification.\\n * Continuously develop BIM and Revit skills.\\n * Attend CPD (Continuing Professional Development) courses.\\n * Participate in trade association events and supplier meetings.\\nWhat you will bring:\\n * Proven experience in a design role with dry wall knowledge\\n * Experience working on construction sites\\n * Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and Excel\\n * Familiar with BIM processes and CDEs\\n * IFE Level 2 certified and working towards IFE Level 3 Certification\\n * Strong knowledge of building regulations and technical standards\\n * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills\\n * Experience contributing to CPD or technical training\\n * Strong communication and collaboration skills\\n * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines\\nBenefits\\n26 days holiday plus bank holidays\\nPrivate Healthcare\\nCompany Pension\\nHealth Care Cashplan\\nCycle to work scheme\\nCar Leasing Scheme\\nDiscounted Gym Membership\\nLife Assurance\\nBuy/sell holidays\\nOther discounts and Cashback plans
