Class 1 Personnel are hiring Chef De Partie for a beautiful Co-educational Boarding School in southeast of Reading.
Morning and afternoon shifts between (Apply online only or (Apply online only from 5 days a week start immediate RG45 area.
Rate of Pay: 15-15.5 per hour
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days (Weekend availability)
Contract Type: Permanent-Full Time
Convenient access to public transport, with a train station situated close to the site. On site parking is available for those who drive.
Staff will receive full uniform, and meals are provided during working hours.
Workplace: A large independent education campus located in the surrounding area.
Working in a team of 25 chefs in a private school catering for around 1200 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Efficiency: Manage your section during service, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of all dishes, particularly during peak service periods and special events.
- Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict adherence to HACCP guidelines, ensuring proper handling, storage, and preparation of ingredients to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Workstation Organisation: Keep your station clean, organised, and fully equipped for service. Prepare meals efficiently and monitor stock levels to ensure smooth service operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work cohesively with the kitchen brigade to maintain a coordinated workflow, supporting junior team members and fostering a positive, efficient kitchen environment.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Assist with stock control, monitor ingredient levels, and help with ordering to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the exact standard, with attention to flavour, texture, and presentation.
- Cost Management & Waste Reduction: Help control food costs by following portioning guidelines, minimising waste, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
