An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly passionate, experienced and caring Nursery Manager to join a small independent school with children aged 2 to 11 years. The school has been running since 1936. The school values each and every member of the staff team and recognise that people can bring different ideas and suggestions all of which are equally valued. Team members are considered extended family and most of the staff have worked with the school for many years. The Nursery opened in 2008 and has continued to grow and develop our children since then. There are two year groups; Acorns for children aged 2-3 and Oaks for children aged 3-4. Responsibilities The Nursery Manager will be a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day running of the nursery throughout the year. As well as being in the Acorns classroom during term time and with Acorns and Oaks in the school holidays, the Nursery Manager will be responsible for marketing the Nursery to ensure numbers remain buoyant, this will include planning open mornings and looking into new opportunities to promote the wonderful, nurturing set up that we have. The successful candidate will work with the Head of EYFS, Oaks Coordinator and the Holidays School Coordinator to ensure high quality teaching, care and planning are managed throughout the nursery. The Nursery Manager will ensure that children’s progress records and maintained and reviewed with feedback given to parents at handover as well as at parents evenings. As the Coordinator for the Acorns room during term time, the Nursery Manager will also act as a key person to a group of children, settling in new children and working closely with their families. What we can offer * An easily accessible school that is in the heart of Windsor town * Full-time position, working Monday to Friday 8.00am–5.00pm * Potential to progress further and develop your career * 7 weeks holiday * Pension * Fee discount * Opportunity to access various training packages to support you in your role * Helpful and supportive management team * A friendly and supportive team What we are looking for in a Nursery Manager The ideal candidate for this role would have: * 3 years nursery experience * 1 years Line Management experience * NVQ Level 3 (as a minimum) * Experience and knowledge of marketing (preferably marketing a nursery) * Good organisational skills * Budgeting experience (desirable) * Proficient in lesson planning for EYFS children with different levels of development and ability * Paediatric first aid trained (desirable) * Proficient in technology, preferably passionate about using technology for education * Excellent communication skills * Understanding of the importance of Safeguarding * Able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative to respond to day to day situations * Have a willingness to learn, be adaptable and passionate about nurturing and developing each child’s skills to allow them to prosper academically, socially, emotionally, morally, culturally and spiritually * Commitment to your role and being an inspiration to the children throughout the school * Have a fun, can do attitude A willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm and to contribute as a team member is essential
