Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority who are looking to recruit a Social Worker – Adult\’s Mental Health team based in Southend (Hybrid). The Social Worker – Adult\’s Mental Health vacancy will be on a permanent basis paying £37,938-£43,693 P/Annum. Responsibilities include: Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health To undertake statutory duties related to the care of adults and of their carers asdefined in the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983 To keep up-to-date with developments, products and information relating to theservice and the rest of the council to ensure that appropriate and timely information is given to customers. To ensure proportionate risk assessments for both the customer and the carerassociated with any support plan have been carried out. To undertake reviews of customers with long term needs as required and withinstatutory timelines and carry out reassessments as required To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners (both internal and external) to ensure that the team can deliver a co-ordinated, timely and appropriate service to the customer Care management Report writing and assessment Carrying a caseload of service users Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act Safeguarding Adults Self-directed support/personal budgetsExperience Essential: Post qualifying experience of working within a Qualified Social Worker – Adult\’s Mental Health position within the UK Social Care industry.
