Band 2 Clerical Officer within Mental Health Services

Location: Downpatrick

Hours: 30 Hours p/w Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri 9am-5pm

Salary: £12.21-£18.32

Contract: Temporary Up to 6 months (potential for extension)

Duties:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Covering telephone reception and managing a high volume of calls, including challenging or sensitive calls.

  • Monitoring the CCG for incoming referrals daily.

  • Following ISO procedures for referral management.

  • Creating CMHT patient files with referral paperwork and allocating patient numbers (paper files are no longer used in Lisburn).

  • Ensuring files are available for clinical appointments.

  • Formatting, printing, and forwarding outcome letters to GPs and other relevant HCPs.

  • Photocopying and maintaining patient information leaflets.

  • Importing documents (e.g., re-assessments, prescriptions) on Maxims.

  • Allocating routine appointments on the calendar and Maxims.

  • Covering reception and sending prescriptions to GPs.

  • Maintaining and archiving patient files.

  • Covering MHAC Band 3 duties for annual and sick leave.
