Honeycomb Jobs is working with a large Public Sector organisation, looking to recruit a temporary Day Care Support Worker.
The Role
The individual will work as part of a team within day services meeting the assessed needs of individual adult service users with learning/ physical/sensory/ cognitive/ frality disabilities accessing day care services.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
- Contribute to individual care plans based on a person centred approach.
- Implement without direct supervision individual group programmes.
- Implement appropriate daily activities ot meet the multi-disciplinary assessed needs of service users.
- Assist with the provision of meals and follow individual assessed eating and drinking up to date guidelines.
- Liaise and communiate appropriately and involve service users and/ or carer taking a holistic view of each individual.
- Liaise with all other support services.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- NVQ/QCF/VRQ/RQF Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent OR;
- Hold the above qualifications in a Level 2 plus 1 years' experience OR;
- 4 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent/ higher qualification including English Language and 1 years' paid experience in delivering direct care in a care environment OR;
- 2 years' paid experience devliering direct care in a care environment (MHS only)
- Hold a current driving license which is valid for use in the UK.
Where the successful candidate does not hold registration with Northern Ireland Social Care Council, a willingness to register would be requested on appointment.
