Paralegal Job Summary
To deliver a robust quality claims handling service to Minster clients, to assist Fee Earners in generating fee income and contribute to the overall success of the department.
To assist in managing a portfolio of claimant serious injury claims.
Paralegal Core Responsibilities
- Assist lead file handlers in progressing their serious injury caseloads.
- Produce standard letters to progress cases using the case management system (ProClaim).
- Use the telephone as the primary contact method.
- Handle telephone enquiries and take detailed messages for immediate communication to the Fee Earner.
- Achieve KPIs on a monthly basis as agreed with your line manager.
- Maintain and update the case management system.
- Ensure filing and information systems meet the firm\’s standards.
- Schedule appointments for Fee Earners when appropriate.
- Liaise with the Finance Department regarding disbursements and accounts.
- Assist other staff during peak times with administrative tasks.
- Sort mail and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Work effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Undertake any other relevant tasks as deemed appropriate by the business.
Paralegal Key Performance Indicators
KPIs and objectives will be discussed and reviewed regularly with your line manager to support your development in line with the paralegal progression matrix.
