Job Title: SEND Placements Officer Location: Hybrid – Primarily home-based with occasional attendance at Bristol City Hall Contract: Fixed-term with potential for extension Hours: Part-time – 22 hours per week, working Tuesday to Thursday Interview: In person, Bristol Enhanced DBS Required We are seeking a highly motivated and organised SEND Placements Officer to join our dedicated SEND Education Placement Team. You will play a key role in identifying and securing appropriate education placements for children and young people with SEND, working collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and providers. As a SEND Placements Officer, you will: Conduct placement searches and coordinate with schools, colleges, and external services Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders Manage a high volume of referrals with a methodical and organised approach Use your initiative to solve problems and support timely decision-making Work independently, demonstrating reliability and a \’can-do\’ attitudeWe\’re looking for someone who has: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster effective relationships Proven ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities A methodical, organised approach to managing workloads The ability to work independently and use their initiative effectively Flexibility to attend City Hall when required, particularly during induction and occasional in-office meetingsAdditional Information: Part-time role working Tuesday to Thursday (22 hours per week) Hybrid working arrangement – primarily from home City Hall is your contractual base and attendance may be required with notice Interviews will be held in person at City Hall This post requires an Enhanced DBS check There is a possibility that the contract may be extendedWhy Choose Ackerman Pierce?
